The Pinhoti Trail is a 109 mile trail through the southern Appalachian mountains in Alabama, and is part of the longer hike from Cape Gaspé to Key West that more and more hikers are attempting each year. The journals within these pages are a collection of thoughts and experiences from thru hikers, and those attempting to hike the entire length of the Pinhot Trail. A thru hike is a very personal experience, and many of the thoughts expressed by hikers within these pages are very personal and heart felt. Please respect their work, and support them in the most difficult journey that many of them will ever undertake.
